Art Education - 100 Schools Campaign
At Nobulali Productions, we have developed an arts teaching and learning method called ShakeXperience. Through the method, we produced an interactive performance of Nothing But The Truth by John Kani, and it was well received by learners in Gauteng, Limpopo, KZN and Mpumalanga. This took place in 2013.
In 2014/16, we would like to expand our offering to expose different role players in education and culture, how drama and theatre can be applied to teach and to learn. We are aiming to start by reaching 100 schools, and within 100 days, there will be a number of art education activities planned. This vision is shared by the Department of Arts and Culture, hence their pledge to support 10 schools at R25 000 per school.
We are looking for other organisations that can partner with us in the form of time, resources or money to make it possible for us to reach the 90 schools.
On 10 December, we will be launching the vision, and sharing about the broadened vision of using arts for education.
We hope this clarifies. And that we may find synergy beyond the launch date.
